Blessings on Yemen and Shaam

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) prayed: “O Allah, bless our Shaam. O Allah, bless our Yemen.” The people said: “O Messenger of Allah, our Najd too.” He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “O Allah, bless our Shaam and our Yemen too.” People said again, “Our Najd too.” The narrator, Abdullah bin Umar (radi Allahu anhu) said, “I think that the third time the Messenger of Allah said: “There will be earthquakes there and Fitnahs will raise their heads there. And Shaitaan’s horns will appear there.” [Bukhari; Musnad Ahmad]

The blessing in Shaam (present day Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan) and in Yemen can be witnessed today as well. The share that the people from Shaam and Yemen have in these final battles against Batil, is the result of the Prophet’s prayer for them. Najd is Riyadh and the area around it.
